The Hinds Eagles football team will get their first taste of outside competition on Wednesday night when they host the Trojans of Mississippi Delta Community College. The controlled scrimmage will begin at 6 p.m. at Joe Renfroe Stadium in Raymond. The public is invited to attend.
 
The Eagles, who finished 5-4 in 2008, have been going through their preseason paces since Wednesday, Aug. 6.
 
Hinds will kick off the 2008 season with a home matchup against Northeast Community College on Thursday, Aug. 28 in Raymond.
