Four Hinds baseball players make All-State

Four Hinds Community College baseball players recently made the 2008 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State baseball team.
The All-State members are:
Eric Douglas of Vicksburg, a sophomore outfielder, who hit .396 with 12 doubles, four triples and five home runs. The Nicholls State University signee also drove in a team-leading 40 runs and stole nine bases.
Jonathon Ettinger of Vicksburg, a sophomore infielder, who hit .388 with 14 doubles, four home runs and 27 RBIs. The Louisiana College recruit also led the Eagles with 57 hits on the season.
Josh Gordon of Vicksburg, a sophomore infielder, hit .366 with a team-leading 17 doubles and six home runs. The Delta State University signee also contributed 37 RBIs and was a perfect 11 for 11 in stolen bases.
David Mooney of Jackson, a sophomore outfielder/pitcher, who hit .343 with 12 doubles, three home runs and 27 RBIs. The University of Evansville signee was also 4-4 on the mound with a 4.06 ERA in 50 innings pitched.
