Hinds inks five women’s basketball signees
04/22/08 -  The Hinds Community College women’s basketball program has added five members to the 2008-2009 team, head coach Micheryln Smith recently announced.

The five-woman signing class features three standouts from the Jackson Metro area, along with two outstanding talents from the eastern part of the state.

The signees include:

• Kortney Bolton, forward, Clinton High School “Kortney is a hard worker and very good post player who can really defend and rebound,” Smith said.
• Tiara Buckley, forward, Newton High School “Tiara is a post player who can defend, rebound and score,” Smith said.
• Jessica Houston, guard, Provine High School “Jessica is a guard who can pass and score,” Smith said.
• Jasmine McDonald, Forward, Morton High School “Jasmine brings versatility. She can play the three or four positions,” Smith said.
• Brittany McGruder, Guard, Forest Hill High School “Brittany is a guard that can really defend and score,” Smith said.
