Lady Bulldogs lose to Jones County
2/5/08 The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats routed the Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs in women's basketball action on Monday night, winning by the count of 100-70.
Hinds (6-13) was able to receive a lot of production on the offensive end, but their defense was not nearly strong enough to handle the Lady Bobcat attack. Kayla Palmer of Jackson and Tiffany Williams of Vicksburg led Hinds with 17 points apiece. Lakwanta Wilson of Brookhaven also scored 13 points for the Lady Bulldogs.
Brittany Leverett scored 17 points to lead Jones County, now 10-10 on the year.
Hinds will welcome Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to Utica on Thursday night. Hinds hopes to avenge a 68-50 loss to the Lady Bulldogs of Gulf Coast just less than three weeks ago.
The game will start at 6 p.m.
