Lady Bulldogs fall to powerful Meridian
1/31/08 The Meridian Community College Lady Eagles defeated the Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs, 83-65, in Utica on Thursday.
The Lady Eagles (16-3) led 49-29 at the half, and never came close to relinquishing their lead, winning going away. Meridian was led by Dana Parker (22 points) and NaDosha Strickland (20 points).
Hinds (6-12) got 14 points from Tiffany Williams of Vicksburg, a freshman guard who continues to lead the Lady Bulldogs scoring attack. The loss was the ninth in a row for Hinds.
Hinds will travel to Ellisville on Monday night to take on Jones County Junior College. The Lady Bulldogs will look to get back on the winning track against the Lady Bobcats, to whom they lost 72-69 in overtime just over two weeks ago.
