Hinds track competes in Ole Miss Relays
05/07/08 -  The Hinds track team competed in the Ole Miss Relays on the Oxford campus this past weekend. The Eagles fared well once again, competing with many Division 1-A schools, including every member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

The 4x100 meter relay team of Markie Faust of McComb, Jerel Hill of Vicksburg, Terry Jackson of Tylertown and Anton Taylor of Jackson finished in second place with a time of 39.67 seconds, trailing only the University of Florida.
Taylor also finished fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.04.

Jeff Henderson of Sherwood, Ark. was a fifth place finisher in the long jump with a leap of 24'2 ½".

The 100 meter dash had two Hinds teammates finish back-to-back, as Hill (10.57) and Jackson (10.61) finished eighth and ninth respectively.
Michael Weldon of Brandon came in 10th place in the high jump with a leap of 6'2 ¾".
