Track competes in Eagle Choctaw Dual
04/30/08 The Hinds track team bounced back quickly from their performance on Saturday, and competed in the Eagle Choctaw Dual on the campus of Mississippi College on Tuesday.

Jerel Hill of Vicksburg (10.43) edged out teammate Jeff Henderson of Sherwood, Ark. (10.46) to win the 100 meter dash. Markie Faust of McComb finished fourth in the event with a time of 10.81 seconds.

The 200 meter dash was completely dominated by the Eagles, with Jonathan Davis of Bahamas (21.02) winning the event, and Hill (21.05) and Anton Taylor of Jackson (21.28) coming in second and third place respectively.

Carl Mickens of Macon was another significant finisher for Hinds, coming in second place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.75 seconds.

The 4x100 meter relay team of Davis, Faust, Henderson and Hill continued its utter domination of the event, coming in first place with a time of 40.51 seconds.

The 4x400 meter relay team also came in first place with a time of 3:18.83.
Michael Weldon of Brandon (6'6") finished slightly ahead of Henderson (6'0") to win the high jump event.

Henderson was able to place well in the long jump, jumping 25'2" to win the event.
