Hinds men's tennis picks up three signees

Shawn Garrick, head men's and women's tennis coach at Hinds Community College, has announced the signing of three players for the 2009 season.
The signees include two high school seniors and one four-year college transfer.
Daniel Shidler of Southaven, a senior at Desoto Central High School is the first signee.
Shidler won the 4A state doubles championship in 2007 and was the runner-up to the state champion in singles play in 2006. Shidler, who has been ranked as high as second in Mississippi's Boys 18 division, participated the past two seasons on the Junior Davis Cup team of Mississippi.
Duffy Loel of Vicksburg, a senior at St. Aloysius High School, is the second high school signee for the Eagles.
Despite only having played tennis for one year, Loel finished as the district runner-up.
The final signee is Mike Parker of Olive Branch.
Parker, who prepped at Olive Branch High School, is a transfer from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind.
