Hinds softball signs Sashia Roan

02/04/08 – The Hinds Community College softball program has signed another high school senior from the metro area.
Sashia Roan of Pearl High School has signed a softball scholarship for the 2008-2009 school year. Roan is a corner infielder for the Lady Pirates.
The slugger looks to provide the Lady Eagles with some much needed juice in their lineup. “Sashia is a very good hitter who will provide us with a lot of power next season,” said Hinds coach Andy Lee.
The Lady Eagles of Hinds will start their 2008 campaign on Saturday, Feb. 9, when they take on Bossier Parish Community College. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. in Raymond.
