Northwest Rankin's Austin Cole Signs with Hinds Soccer
04/15/08 -  Austin Cole of Brandon, a senior at Northwest Rankin High School, has signed a soccer scholarship with Hinds Community College for the 2008-2009 school year.

Cole is a four-year member of the NWR soccer team and was instrumental in the Cougars winning the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) 5A State Championship this past season.

Cole is also a member of the Chicago Fire Juniors of Mississippi. He has played with the Fire for the past five years, as they have competed in and won many of the top youth tournaments in the Southeastern United States.

 "Austin is the fourth player from the Fire Juniors program to sign with Hinds this year," said Hinds coach Doug Williams. "The experience that he will bring to Hinds is a big plus."

Williams expects big things from Cole during his tenure at Hinds. "Austin is a great guy who will come to work hard every day in training. He should fit into our program well."
