Men come close again, fall to Meridian
01/31/08 The Hinds Community College men’s basketball team came very close once again on Thursday night, but couldn’t seal the deal, falling to Meridian Community College, 73-68.
Hinds (3-15) continued to get major production from Armon Higgins. The freshman guard/forward of Raymond had 21 points on Thursday to lead all Bulldog scorers.
Meridian also got 21 points from their top scorer Mario Luckett. The road victors improved their record to 11-8 on the season.Hinds will now make the trek to Ellisville to face Jones County Junior College.
The Bulldogs will be looking to avenge an 80-68 loss to the Bobcats on Jan. 10. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
