Jacob Keith signs with Hinds baseball

Jacob Keith of Hillcrest Christian School has signed a baseball scholarship with Hinds Community College for the 2008-2009 season. The Terry native is a standout right-handed pitcher/position player for the Cougars baseball team.
“Jacob is a guy that really stood out in the State Games tryout that we hosted at our field,” said Hinds coach Sam Temple. “We feel he has the best velocity in our district this year and that he is only going to improve when he gets to Hinds.”
“Jacob plays for an outstanding baseball program at Hillcrest, and we have had and hope to continue to have success with their athletes in the future.”
Keith looks to help the Eagles next season on the mound as both a starting pitcher and a reliever out of the bullpen.
