Gordon named preseason All-American

Josh Gordon of Vicksburg, an infielder for the Hinds Community College baseball team, has been named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Pre-Season All-American.
Gordon hit .404 as a Hinds freshman in 2007, finishing with seven triples and driving in 33 runs. He also provided the Eagles with a steady glove as the everyday shortstop.
Gordon participated in the NJCAA All-Star showcase in Millington, Tenn. in May 2007, in which he was chosen for his stellar play as a freshman. The sophomore was also selected Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges for his work in the classroom.
