DrummondsJeff Drummonds attended Forest Hill High School in Jackson where he was a baseball, football and track standout. Drummonds was selected as team captain of the baseball and track teams, and held the school record in the pole vault as well. He was also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was voted Most Handsome and Most Athletic during his senior year at Forest Hill.

At Hinds he played football and was a member of the track team. As an all-state performer in track, Drummonds led Hinds to victory in eight meets while setting school records in the pole vault. In two years, Drummonds helped the Hinds track team win 15 meets, two South State titles, two State championships and two Regional championships.

In 1983, Drummonds qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national meet in San Angelo, Texas, where he finished in 9th place in the pole vault with a jump of 15'6." He also set a Hinds record in the high hurdle, finishing sixth place overall.

Drummonds then took his talents to Delta State University, where he spent one season with the DU football team. He then spent his final year of college finishing his degree at the University of Southern Mississippi.

After college, Drummonds worked 10 years with Southern Farm Bureau Insurance Company.

He and his wife Kelly now live in Palm Coast, Fla., with their five children, Shelby, 14; Taylor, 13; Savannah, 10; Kinley, 8 and Jeffrey, 7. He serves as the worship leader at Palm Coast Community Church.
