About Hinds Rankin County Chapter
Hinds Community College enrolls approximately 3,600 students from Rankin County each year. The Hinds Community College Rankin County Alumni Chapter provides scholarships to high school graduates wishing to attend Hinds. In efforts to fund their scholarship program, the Rankin Chapter coordinates an annual golf classic to benefit the scholarship fund.

On the second Thursday in September, the Hinds Community College Rankin County Alumni Chapter hosts the annual Louis G. Strickland Golf Classic at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Raymond. The Golf Classic was named in memory of Mr. Louis Gene Strickland, a dedicated Hinds Alumnus and loyal Rankin County resident. All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Rankin County Alumni Chapter Scholarship fund. To date, the chapter has been able to raise over $50,000 for scholarship assistance to high school students of Rankin County.

Membership
Membership is open to alumni of Hinds Community College who live in the Rankin County area. You can join our Alumni Association today by completing a membership form and submitting it to the Alumni office with your minimum gift of $25.
