For more than 90 years, Hinds Community College has been serving students with a quality education and lifelong experiences to build a strong foundation for their future. In addition, the college strives to remain the "community's college", directed in a customer-focused atmosphere with a priority on service to the area.

The focus of the college to enhance the educational mission of Hinds reaches multiple areas including private sector support, community awareness and involvement in college programs and activities, alumni enhancement and involvement, and support of the coalition for educational achievement in our state.

Through numerous events, activities, and initiatives, Hinds Community College offers a wide range of involvement for the surrounding communities. Through the office of Institutional Advancement, the opportunities to stay involved are numerous and ever-growing. From establishing student scholarships to attending college and cultural events, people across the state continue to support the students, faculty, and staff of Hinds Community College. With the support and outreach of the Development Foundation and tight bonds developed with members of the Alumni Association, Hinds Community College will continue a growth of excellence well into the future.
