ACT Scholarships
Must remain full-time (minimum of 12 semester hours) and maintain a cumulative GPA 3.0.

There are three types of ACT Scholarships awarded through the Office of Financial Aid. All applicants must meet Hinds Community College admission requirements. No ACT scholarship awards will be made after the first scheduled day of classes for the award year.

Presidential Scholarships are awarded to first-time entering freshmen who are Mississippi residents, enrolled as full-time students (taking 12 semester hours or more), and have an ACT score of 29 or above. Amount of award: Tuition, room and board.

Dean's Scholarships are awarded to first-time entering freshmen who are Mississippi residents, enrolled as full-time students (taking 12 semester hours or more), and have an ACT score of 25 - 28. Amount of award: Tuition only.

Faculty Scholarships are awarded to first-time entering freshmen who are Mississippi residents, enrolled as full-time students (taking 12 semester hours or more), and have an ACT score of 21-24. Amount of award: one-half tuition.

Eligibility: ACT Scholarships are awarded to first-time entering students who are enrolled fulltime and are Mississippi residents. Scholarships awards cannot be changed by a test taken after the first day of class of the enrolled semester. It is the student's responsibility to make sure the College receives their ACT profile.

ACT Scholarships will be awarded electronically as score profiles are received from ACT. A letter of congratulations will be sent to every student who is eligible for this scholarship.
