Just prior to the start of each term, Hinds offers an Open Registration period for those who do not Advance Register. This period is two days in length for the fall and spring terms and one day for each summer term. See the College Calendar for these dates.

The times for Open Registration for the fall and spring terms are 8 AM to 7 PM both days at all locations. For the first summer day term and summer evening term, the times are 8 AM to 7 PM at all locations. For the second summer day term, the times are 8 AM to 3 PM at all locations.

You should be aware that class selection may be limited at Open Registration, because students have previously registered for classes during Advance Registration. Also, because the fee payment deadline occurs before the Open Registration period, all fees are due immediately when you complete Open Registration. Your fees must be paid in full by you or by financial aid (for which you have previously arranged). Or during the fall and spring terms, you may defer one-half of your fees for an additional $15 charge -- but only if you carry a full class load (12 or more semester hours).
