Dual Credit Criteria

Classes will be offered to students who meet the following criteria:
1. Must have completed a minimum of ten (10) core high school units.

2. Must have taken the ACT, but no specific score is required. ACT sub scores are used to place students in the appropriate courses. Hinds placement tests (Compass) may be used if the ACT has not been taken.

3. No specific grade point average is required. Students will be placed in college courses based on their ACT sub scores OR placement test scores.

4. Must have an unconditional written recommendation from their high school principal and/or guidance counselor.

*Participation in dual enrollment does not affect high school or college athletic or scholarship eligibility.
